DIY Network Comes To Fox Chapel Publishing to Film Television Special   East Petersburg , PA: On Sunday, August 1 2004, a film crew from the DIY Network—a sister network of HGTV—spent the day at the offices of Fox Chapel Publishing to film the first of a five-part series on the cable network about woodcarving.   East Petersburg-based Fox Chapel Publishing was contacted by the network to help produce the program, according to Mark Vogel, Fox Chapel's Marketing Manager. “We publish the leading magazine on woodcarving: Wood Carving Illustrated , as well as more than 200 woodworking books, many of them on woodcarving,” Vogel said. “The network asked us to recommend five of our authors to be featured on a program about woodcarving, which we did.”   The five-part series will introduce a different type of carving on each show.
