I carved this actual sized snow owl out of bass wood. I made the eyes from turning plexiglass on a drill mandrel while sanding them with different grades of emery cloth and jewelers ruge. The talons are carved out of cherry wood. The branch I found while trout fishing along the Owego Creek.

exquisite detail, especially around the eyes. One of the best I have seen! And I think the way you have it painted looks very realistic. After all it's a snow owl.
