I just finished this mallet, made it on my lathe, my last one is getting worn out. It is Ash made from leftovers of a baseball bat blank, made it to fit my hands. It's 8" in length total and the head is 2 3/4" diameter. Finished with beeswax It's stuck under my fingernails in the photos. tell me what ya think.

I think you do really nice work on that lathe! great idea using a baseball blank. i like the beeswax finish also.nothing wrong with crud under the nails!LOL

Looks good to me. Bees wax, I've had a lot worse than that under my nails.
