wood is some kind of swiss type that is used as banister or 2"X4" oak i think very brotle it broke easy on me especialy when carving against or acros the grain !!!! I WISH I COULD FIND SOME LIME WOOD IN GREECE!!! DO YOU GUYS THINK I SHOULD ANTIQUE IT?

IT's very nice.paint something in similar colors and put antique on it before you try it on your carving,( scrap wood of same type.) that way you can see how it will look.

it might not look ok with all those bright colors after antiqueing!
antique will probably not bee the way to go on this one ,mabe just a satin clear coat! it started out as something diferent and at one point my neace a 10 year old got involved with its painting and he got all that color hehehehe!!!!
