These photos are of my very first carving creations as a beginner. I've always wanted to bring the "spirit" out of a piece of found wood, and hopefully I am developing much needed skills to support my new hobby.
Living adjacent to the Mississippi River in Southeast Missouri, I have been fortunate to search the river banks and gather Cottonwood Bark in plentiful quantities.
Please feel free to offer constructive criticism.

great carvings!!! i live in up the road from you in perryville. i also carve bark collected from the banks of the mississippi. you should come to the river valley carvers club meetings in cape, and bring some of your stuff. we would be glad to have you!!!
