About 58" long. The carving is about 2.5" wide by 8" long. The material is a found 'black-jack' oak (sometimes called 'Turkey' Oak because the shape of the leaf clusters resemble a turkey). It wasn't too bad to carve and the photos really don't show how REALLY grey, ashen, and in some places black this wood species is...I enjoyed working with it.
