Pigasus spoon

My mother collects porcine miniatures, and I wanted to carve her something for her birthday that would fit her collection. This spoon was inspired by John Steinbeck's "Pigasus" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigasus_%28literature%29), in particular his latin motto "ad astra per alia porci" (to the stars on the wings of a pig). The spoon is basswood, 11.5", and finished with boiled linseed oil and paste wax.
