These 2 Wizard Walking Sticks patterns are from WCI mag. Issue # 32. These are the first of about 7 projects I started in the last 2 months and didn't finish. They are for my Sister In Calif., she is giving them as Xmas gifts. They are made from Poplar and seem to be very strong,and nice to carve. I would have liked them to be darker but was unsure the procedure, Sanding Sealer, and Feed -N-Wax with a little dark stain mixed. Didn't do what I wanted, maybe next time. Merle

Merle you did a great job on these walking sticks!! I remember that issue in WCI and yours looks better than the ones in the mag # 32

Merle,

Good work on the faces! I also like the lighter stain, how it turned out. The wizard stick that I made was my first attempt at carving faces. That WCI #32 helped me a lot.
