Hello,
I'm new to this website, and am interested in learning carving. Is there any plans or tips to help someone *new* like me?.. I loved your seashell, and have some solid pieces of cypress I wanted to use. They are 12" x 12" and 14"x 14"..most are 2 to 3 ft long. One is over 3 ft long. I recovered them from a construction site, and hated seeing them thrown away, So I've decided to try carving them into something. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Sincerely, SpiderinFL...*USA*

thanks all, appreciated, spiderinfl if your gonna use a chainsaw i would advise you take a course first, there potentially very dangerous, they still frighten me at times after twenty two years, but dont let that stop you, ive n ot long been doing carvings and i love it ,theres hundreds of carvers over there check there websites out, brian ruth, steve backus, robin wenzoski, ken sheen, good luck
