This is a Church and cannon I've made from moose and deer antler. I have just finished a schoolhouse but have not taken any pictures yet.

I believe these are the only buildings ever made from Deer and Moose antler.
They took me 100's of hours to make. The entire church is made from antler (no other material). I will post the Schoolhouse pictures as soon as I take some photo's. It was also made of deer and moose antler but I used walnut for the roof and pine for the base. I'd like to hear your comments. Thanks!

I want to know what the mortar is please. I take it you've sort of used the bone and antler for a substitute for stone. Is it a reproduction of an actual church? Wonderfully imaginative and interesting. Thanks for putting the pictures up for us to see.

The pieces are epoxied together with glue not mortar. I had no idea how it would turn out until I started to assemble it. I had no particular church in mind. I agree with you though that it does look like stone.
Thanks so much for everyones comments.

I know that horn was used in lanterns before glass was readily available. Have you tried lighting them up from the inside? I bet that would look wonderful!

I know it took sometime to carve & cut the blocks of antlers plus the smell of grining them is something!! I know!! Had to drop off everything I was wearing at the back door in the washing machine when I use to carve & mess with antlers back in mid 80's. VERY nice work you have done!!!

Thank you for the comments. Yes it took mega weeks to carve, cut and assemble. Your right on the smell when your grinding or sanding it's terrible. My wife really complains..LOL. I've kind of got hooked on working with antler lately. I like the nice crisp lines. My goal is to make unusual things out of it.
I just gave the Church away to my brother and his wife. They put a light in it and it really looks neat.
What do you think these type of buildings could "realistically" sell for?
