Forest, I think you did great jop on the paint witch gives him charactor.It seems you are a little hesitant about getting deeper with the nose.Don't be afraid to take a few good wacks to bring out the nose.I know you have the tallent.You should see my shelf of the ones that did not make it.Just being honest my friend.Davy.

HEY!! I more than understand about carving deeper and getting the noses out more,this slab plus 2 more fell out when I was busting the apple stump. This druid is only 1/4 inches thick. I got some thick wood yesterday and with the nicer weather now, I will be carving some deeper carvings soon,course the wood I got will have to be really cleaned & sanded plus refinished before I can even think of carving in them. NO!! I have always appreciated your input & opinion or anyones on WLI. Ive always painted but a true love of mine is to carve! And I hope, I improve. your carving bud,Forrest aka{TnArtist}
