This is the other half of the apple wooden stump where Id carved the troll in a few days ago. Theres no paint in this carving,I like how the old grains in the old apple came out with minwax polyurethane. I would have carved him deeper but hitting some of the old wood inside,things kelp breaking off while chiseling the wood!

Yea Ive been through Tx several times years ago on my way to the west cost and I didnt see many apple treees! Hehee! But here in the mtns and valleys of east Tn,theres alot of different types of wood & lumber. Plus tons of artist,Im 2 1/2 hrs east of the smokey mtns. Im glad you can appreciate the use of old found wood and the effort I try in creativing and carving in different types of wood like this old apple stump! Thks again,Gene!
