This triptych is carved from cherry wood. I studied celtic metal work in for the inspiration of the celtic details which are carved in repouse. The piece is an original design and hand carved using microchisels and swiss made tools. The cabinet is my first attempt at steam bending. It's OK, but i am definitely more proficient at carving. The finish on the piece is a handrubbed tung oil finish.

The piece stands 30 inches tall, and about foot wide with the doors closed.
