hello,just thought you might be interested in this 10 ft relief carving depicting 20 bullocks hauling out a cedar log in the australian bush,(circa 1880)this scene is carved out of a solid slab of Huon Pine,a very old and unique timber,total time of carving,6 months at approx 12-16 hours per day,hope you enjoy.

That is an awesome piece of carving. Your Huon Pine species must differ from our White Pine in that ours doesn't seem to show the depth of a carving, or hold detail as well. Beautiful work.
