sue,
ok here's some gentle feedback...

...the piece looks fantastic, it has good flow and the finish looks great...the only mild criticism I could give is on the pants themselves, look into adding wrinkles and a little more rounding...
...other than that its a great piece...

Very nice, he's got an Ozark feel to him and carved ,I believe in a scadinavian flat plane style, did you use a knife for the final stages of the carving?
