That just had to be a difficult job! I've never had much luck carving animals but this looks great. What kind of paints did you use on this?

just some gesso and some acrylic paint with a sealer,thanks so much for your comment.lazyj P.S. went to your site george and really enjoyed all your carvings! thought the duck decoys were outstanding! I have yet to do any gnomes or santas or woodspirits hope to get a round tuit haha
