Well, I finally finshed the carving of my dad. I think it turned out pretty good. Not only does my Dad jingle his change, but he is NEVER without a glass of tea. He almost always carries around a tall insulated mug with 3 geese flying across a lake. This scene is under a clear window that encircles the glass. I carved the glass and painted the same scene on it. My dad loved the carving and thought it looked like him. (High praise I thought!) He told me I should title the piece "The Old Man and the Tea". So......I guess that is the new name of this carving. I just have to get the base done and the nameplate and it's official. I hope you all like it.
