Here is the problem .I keep looking at eveyones work and read all the wonderfull things you all say to people who try .Listening to all of the accomplished artisians only makes a person try to get better .Well this is my first try and the only wood I had was the wifes kitchen cupboard.Yep I did I took it off the hinges and did a moose . The way I look at it I have 12 more cupboards left Ha ha ha

Bob

p.s If i dont get better may be looking for a room to rent ..

Great first carving!!!! You must have a very understanding wife. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest of her cupboards.

I made the kitchen cupboards with pine and I wanted to stain it but my wife won't let me .OH by the way I wear the pants in the family and I am confident my wife won't read this.

Wonderful first carving. Great idea to carve the cabinet doors, and I also look forward to seeing what you do with the 12 remaining doors. Keep it up. That one is very successful!

Excellent first attempt - may I suggest carving up the furniture next?

Speaking of peaceful co-oexistance - reminds me of the time, during a rainy season I put my work boots in the oven to dry and forgot to tell my wife. She was going to bake something and set the oven on preheat. By the time she got back to the kitchen my $200 work boots looked like skiis. She was not impressed and neither was I - screwed up a perfectly good pair of shoes.
