"...cut out my first plain wood jigstick long ago...for use on frozen Lake Champlain. I just got a little carried away...".


By the way, on Lake Champlain spearing through the ice was finally ended about 1970 by joint agreement between Vermont and New York State. Thus, some of the rarest spearing decoys are the old Lake Champlain items...maybe not high on any collectors list but enjoyed by locals.

Tupelo, acrylics, lacquer. Took top honors at GLFDA, September 2005, World Fish Decoy Championships, Monroe, Mi.

Bob Eck championship style jigging sticks and fish decoys are in collections throughout North America, Japan, Singapore and Australia.
