    Polysporin is some sort of cocktail of several antibiotics. I got a jug of lanolin hand lotion, made in New Zealand. Helps a lot and soaks in very quickly. Must be dry.
    I've been doing a whole bunch of other things, roughing out a dozen blanks for mallet & gouge work, etc. I think if I can keep the pressure off my thumbs for a few more days, they will heal up OK.

    I still can't believe that there's a "correct" way to finish basswood. So everything that everybody else does is totally wrong? I can't eat that. Since I don't use basswood, maybe I shouldn't care.
