When I said "body length" about the Loggerhead, I mean from nose to back toes. At 13", that will make the shell width 7.5" (more or less).

Hi Robert, Thank you so much for your time and the links, I will for sure take a look. I am leaning towards the Flexcut, as they are priced ok, and I have not carved anything yet, so not sure how I will do. Going to give it a go here on Coastal Carolina's. Thanks for your opinion and links.

    Hello Pete,
My name is Robert Vega! I was viewing your thread about a Knife to choose. There are many good knives to choose pete. Flexcut is what i use... I understand about price constraints, and how it's difficult to choose a good knife for a low cost... Have you tried Dick Blicks?? They have an vast assortment of knives.. I will give you the link so that you can do the search. There is also a source to get good chip board carving knives at a very low cost... Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers supply, inc. Is another source of very inexpensive products. If you need wood to carve, there is Heinecke wood products. for wood - Heinecke Wood Products For Knives and wood - Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers Supply For Knives - Woodcarving and Wood Sculpture Tools - BLICK art materials
    Good Luck with these links..

Sincerely, your WCI brother Rob (Lazy C.)
