Hi to all, I'm still learning even though I've carved for about ten years. I just joined the Michigan Carvers group, and enjoy every group meeting... lots of talent within the group... I enjoy chip carving, cottonwood carving, and of course basswood for all sorts of projects. I just finished a butternut jewelry case which is chip-carved... lots of fun.

Here's my first post. I was given a gnome for Christmas from my grandson. It's not carved in wood, but I'd love to learn how to carve in wood. My husband has a project started in wood but I don't see him finishing it. Maybe if I start carving he will finish it!

Got a quite a few early this morning Susan, but had to go to the city, and I'm sure I missed a lot of them. Honestly, I've deleted upwards of 1500 in the past few weeks. There seems to be no end. When I find one of the spammers you mentioned, I'll go to the IP address and spend an hour or two just cleaning that one address out. One morning, in one of those particular IP address, the person had roughly 125 registered names. Gives me something to do in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. Grin. Thanks for the heads up. Cheers, Hugh
