Hi Bob...I sent an emial to Art Olver the other day and am waiting for a reply. I also called Chan Schwartz in Nebraska and he doesn't sell it via mail order. I have looked at basswood but because of a physical condition in hands barkwood will be the easiest for me to carve. Thanks for the reply Bob, I appreciate it.

Frank...did you try Art Olver 253-804-3488 for cottonwood bark. I've heard people are very happy with him. Also, unfortunately I don't have a local source for basswood...I order mine from Heinecke Wood Products in Wisconsin 715-822-3524 and have been very happy. Hope this helps.

Hi...sorry I didn't get back sooner but I haven't been on in a while. I have decided against buying hand tools...arthritis in thumbs, constant tendinitis in right elbow, on and off carpal tunnel syndrome. . I decided to go with power and do it outdoors with a dustmask. I was going to buy the tools from different vendors and see who gave the best service. But I did find a place in Canada who had the best prices on Pfeil even with the shipping. I forget the name, sorry.

Just out of curiosity, who are you going to buy your tools from?
What range of things have you selected?
I don't have more than 20 Pfeil tools but all the way from 3mm to 35mm wide.
