This is a piece of cottonwood bark I bought from a source in Montana. Though part of the fun in carving found wood is finding it, what I gather off the river here is not as thick as this. When I got the piece, the form seemed to suggest itself. I just took off the bark that seemed to be in the way. There were a few areas on the water wheel where the bark chipped off and I had to glue the pieces back on. This is my fourth piece in cottonwood. I gave the other three as gifts. My wife liked this one, so we hung it on the wall. Anyway, comments and critique welcome Thanks Mike |

Great work on that grist mill Mike! I like where you left the bark on in just the right places!

Mike, you got lots of nice detail in it! What kind of glue did you use to put the pieces back on? Really cool carving.

| Gorilla glue. It holds well and you can stain it to match very close in color. Thanks for the nice compliment
