Default Tribute to Houdini

Hi all,
We have a section in our garden that we call our pet cemetary, all of our "furry kids" are buried there. I planted a redbud tree several years ago which got too big for the area so I cut it down about a month ago and left approx 3 ft of the trunk but no idea what I was going to do with it. A week or so ago as I was out blowing leaves the idea of carving a tribute to our boy cat Houdini who went out to do his duty almost 2 years ago and has never returned. He was my wife's favorite pet of all time, she's still heartbroken, the pose is the way I used to see him trying to get my wife to pick him up. He was black except for a light spot on his chest. Used a chainsaw and angle grinder to create him and then a propane torch to burn him black except for that light spot on his chest. Guess you'd have to call this a stylized carving. Hope you like him and sorry for the book, if you're a cat lover you'll understand. Thanks for taking a peek at Houdini.
Dan

Hi Dan, sorry for the loss of your cherished Houdini kitty. I really liked what Tom said "Houdini did return." I'm sure your wife just loves the carving you did and what a wonderful job of carving and finishing.
Hugs to you both,

Looks like Houdini has more than 9 lives. Wonderful tribute to your pet. Like so many of your carvings, there's usually an interesting story behind them.
