Default Stump Coffee Table finished....What grain it has !!!!!

This coffe table has me well pleased as it's the first one I have ever made. This stump is made up of 3 tree hearts and It is all one solid peice. The color is all natural and has only a polyurathane finish. I plan on making more of these in the future and would like any tips and instruction anyone may have.
Thank You Kindly.

Beautiful! Just keep making more! For the legs on the next one, maybe try some smaller gnarly roots.

Hi Brett,
Fantastic job on this very beautiful piece of wood, anyone would be proud to have this in their home. At my age the short term memory isn't what it once was, what type of wood is it? My only suggestion is to DO MORE OF THEM!!!

This is actually Oak. I am going to make 6 coasters out of some of the scrap from this table as well as a stylish candle holder to place in the middle.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I find much encouragement and helpfull instruction.
