Thanks to you all who commented. It means a lot. They are cedar Colin. The bigger one is just around 9 1/2" tall, the other smaller. I use palm carvers on all of my carvings, so I don't get into many large porjects. I have missed posting on the boards more, and am trying to do a lot more with my carvings this year. I like the first one better too Dan. I prefer the muted colors and just letting the wood do it's thing. The next one will most likely be more like that one. Great work on both of them, Jon! And don't dismiss the painted one. Northwest Native carvers paint their work more often than not. Maybe a different palate?
