Really pretty slab of wood and the owl is fantastic! Congratulations on the offer from the gallery even if you don't take them up on it, it is quite the honor for you and well deserved!

Hi Jim,
Very kind words my friend, thank you. BTW, I've got another box of wood just about ready to ship, even put in a chunk of sassafras.

Hi Sharon,
Once again I was lucky to find a beautiful piece of wood with an owl hiding right under the surface. Appreciate the congrats, still not sure if I'll display my stuff, but like you said it is nice to be recognized. Thank you my friend.

Hey Al,
Glad you like the "connection" made in this piece. I have oiled it down several times since these pics were taken, the wood keeps getting more beautiful. Thanks for the kind words.

Hello, my friend! I'm in here in cycles, so I wanted to see what I missed, and you KNOW how I hate missing your posts! Just saw the heron and this owl.....both of which are totally outstanding! Not sure which one I like the best. You are a master at what you do, and I'd sure love to know where you keep all these neat carvings, as some of them are a good size! Wonderful work, and impressive, as usual, Dan. Bonnie

Hi Bonnie,
Great to hear from you my friend. I have carvings all through the house, most are in "permanent" places but others are just stored here & there, I'm running out of room! Recently sold a couple and have several charities that I donate them to but that dosen't even put a dent into them. Although I don't like the idea of "farming" them out, its come to a point where I need to do something.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments, I hope you & yours are doing well.
Dan
