Hi all, I found this old piece of wood tucked away in the back of an antique store a few weeks back. Not sure, but I think its a butter churn tamper because the whole time I was carving it I was craving buttered popcorn, positive I could smell butter with each chip. Anyway, I think its made of oak, is 37" tall by 3 1/2" wide and this little oriental fellow was hiding inside. Hope you like him, it was fun getting him outta there. Some day I'll learn how to take good pics. Thanks for looking, Dan Last edited by Dan Wegiel; 06-05-2010 at 06:50 AM. |

Hey Forrest, Yep, I'm always lookin' for wood but I'm lookin' in different places now because of you and others on this site that have shown their unique pieces. Everytime I see an old wooden shoe tree in an antique store I think of you old buddy because of that one you did a while back, never entered my mind before that. I appreciate your nice thoughts, Your buddy, Dan |
