Default Old & New bark carvings

Hello Everybody,

We are finally starting to figure out how to post pictures. (We hope!) Some of you have asked Art to post pics in the past. Art is starting with a smaller bark carving in the round that he calls the Fisherman, carved in the 1970's when he first started carving in the cottonwood bark. The nose of the Fisherman got chipped off a few years back. The other bark carving is of a Santa that is larger and hangs on the wall, which he is currently finishing. This one is called Georgiana's Santa measuring 19" L x 7" w x 4" thick.

Thanks,
Art/the Bark Guy & Dorothy

Hi Art & Dorthy, good job on the images upload. Art wonderful carvings both just wonderful. Yours is the first full figure Cottonwood Bark carving I have seen. Now I know it's possible to do such a carving in bark. Well, you can do anyway. LOL
The Santa is just wonderful too, sounds like you might be doing this one for someone else. The santa really depicks the jolly old Saint Nick from my childhood memories. Excellent!
I still have the Black Cottonwood Bark I ordered from you to work on. Things seem to be getting in my way of carving these days.
Hugs, to Dorthy oh alright you too. tee hee

Well Art & Dorothy,
seems you've worked out the "how" of attaching pictures, and I for one am very pleased for otherwise I would never have seen these fabulous carvings, especially that Santa, he is a real beauty. Thanks for posting them.
Regards
John

Keep after Art until he puts the picture of the Mountain Man on .....that in my opinion is the finest carving I have seen anywhere! (Did I say that the way you told me to Art?) LOL .....Hey, I think this santa is terrific too!! Not sure how I let you get away from here without me buying one??? brain was somewhere else I guess?
