Thanks Curt, I just keep chippin' wood and as long as my wife is happy with the outcome, then I'm happy. Its also very nice to get compliments from all you VERY talented carvers, thanks again.

Dan;
Great job on the piece of driftwood. I have a house on the Oregon coast and have a garage full of wood I have picked up on the beach. I'm slowly going through it and doing some carving instead of picking it up and adding more to the pile.

Thanks for the kind words Arthur. The Oregon coast would have to be one of the nicest possible locations for a home and also great for finding beautiful driftwood. Hard to carve, but almost always the wood is beautiful in itself.

Awesome carving, Dan. Fantastic flow in the lines. Good choice to leave it natural...what a beautiful colour! And he does look like he's heading into a gale. It is obvious that you really allowed this piece of driftwood guide you thru the process. Well done and thanks for sharing!
