Default Crow Mother

Just started doing a Crow Mother Kachina, she is made from a Cottonwood branch. So far it's mainly been mostly roughing I am trying to integrate the natural color of the wood.

Hi Pal, looks like a great start on Crow Mother Kachina, I like the natural lean that the limb has and great that you are working with it. I hope you will post WIP's too.

Nice start, Mel. I, too, like that you kept the natural form of the branch.

Wow Mel, you have some really nice detail on her! I don't think the crack will be a problem.
Looking forward to seeing her all painted.

Well done, Mel. I agree with the others. I don't think the crack will be a problem, especially after she is painted. And I really like the feathers.

Hey Pal, she is looking good I just know she is going to be just wonderful, can't wait for the next update.
Regarding the crack glue is good another thought maybe for next time is a wood puddy/filler. Sometimes glue and paint don't always adhere to each other. Puddy you can sand and paint over...I'll check the name of the puddy/filler I use.

Found it: Quickwood it drys in 30 minutes it's simular to clay you knead it with your fingers and mold it into the area that needs repair or filling. You can get it in a light tone or a dark tone 2 oz size will run you about $8 dollars.......it goes a long way.
