Thank you Bonnie! I filled the cracks but the cracks still show, so it still has lots of character.

Got to this one kinda late Sharon, but better late than never huh? I love him just the way he is, but if you really wanted to stop hin cracking more then a galvanised bolt would just about be the only thing that would stop it. make sure to sink the bolt into the wood then cover the holes on both ends with wood putty or epoxy. I'd just leave him though. Joe.
