I ran across a number of limbs of China Berry that a neighbor had cut and piled on the street. Some of the pieces looked like they would make nice canes and some thicker - trunk wood looked like it might be good for sculpture work. Anyone worked with this wood before? nlcromwell |

Yes - I have a cane picture in the galleries somewhere but I don't know where to tell you to look for it. It carves very well but a little brittle. Takes good detail and burns very well. Kelley |

Thanks for the info Kelley. Glad to know it burns well as the fire is where some of my work winds up :-) nlcromwell |

I've never tried it but have seen some wonderful results with it. I know region to region the wood changes but check this out
