Default Wee Guy pattern

Hi guys
In response to Larry's question about a pattern for my wee guys, I only use one and move it about. The blocks of wood I use I've cut up to 1-1/4" square x 3-1/8" long.
I drew the pattern out on paper and glued it to some 1.5mm ply and made a template for repeated use. (cardboard would do but probably not as durable long term.)
You line up the template on the wood and draw around the feet and legs then move the template up or down depending on what size of hat you want.
If your figure is to have no hat you just move it up to exclude it. A cap with a peak or a wooley hat just miss out the brim to suit. If your figure is wearing a coat just draw the bottom of the coat line further down.
To save time whittling away surplus wood I quickly buzz round roughly with the bandsaw but the figures are that small that it's probably not necessary. Lastly, if the figure is to have split legs I just quickly saw up to the bottom of the coat or crotch, it just saves trying to break through with the knife and create a gap.
The other template is my Woodies which fits into the same size piece of wood. Hope this helps!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately guys but I've been working around the outside of the house getting jobs done and setting up a chicken coop! LOL! (it's not a big house BTW..... I'm just painfully slow! )
