Default Wedding Cake Toppers

The idea here is to replace those plastic little people in tuxedos and gowns with somethin the happy couple can keep
The bride is the pink apron is the only female i have ever carved that came out the least bit attractive the groom is an unhappy looking dude tho
The green apron is a taller 6 to 7" skinny hillbilly couple
Pink apron the groom is happily striding towards the bride who is taking a tentative step forward--of course you could turn them around and they d be happily striding away from each other
and the orange aproned bride is of course Rufus and Sadie Sadie has her hands on her hips imaptiently wanting to get this show on the road Rufus is his relaxed old self
I hope these pictures are good enough for you to enjoy as much as I have

What a great idea you have here. I always thought those plastic figures were a little cheesy anyway.
Great pieces... all of them.
Carve on,
Jim

Herb,
Now you are on to something. I have a 25th anniversary coming up in a couple of years. If we end up doing the whole renewing of vows and cake and all I may have to commission you to do me a set for our cake. At least there better be cake if I have to go through the whole thing again.LOL

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

Nice looking carvings and good idea. If you don't mind, I might just have to borrow your idea and carve some for my 15th anniversary.

Keep the chips falling,
Eric

Well, certainly Eric, I don't mind at all
after all they are just variations of Rufus and Sadie or some of Gene's folks dressed up a bit and with shiney shoes
and called wedding cake toppers

Nice twist on an old Idea...(plastic). Guess this means you've gone "green" now!
