Default Using Scraps For Fun

Just some sit down figures I did for fun while using up scrap pieces ... nothing special .. just practice material for scraps of basswood and butternut

gene, the hardest thing for me when i clean up my saw shop is going through scrap wood i just can't throw it out, i can always find a use for it and some of my favorite pieces are from scrap

Those are great Gene.I love the way you carve the little guys.I always save the small chunk of wood.I like the guy with the spotted tie.Thanks for posting them so we could enjoy your flat plan style.

A fine looking bunch of little fellars..............I'm like most carvers; I find it hard to throw out even the tiniest piece of scrap............er I mean wood. One can always use it to make a pipe for santa or a jug for old clem, or any number of add ons to a small scene.
