Default Today in an "Collectables" shop

G'day All,
today I visited a small shop in a nearby country town, the shop sells various antique and collectable items. I was surprised to find the small group of flat plane figures shown below, surprised because woodcarvings are not something often seen in Australian shops. There is no history to the figures, but I think they were sort of mass produced as two of them were duplicated. However, as they are fair examples of flat plane, and in the light of Tom Hs' recent discoveries, I decided to rescue them (except for the duplicates) anfd here they are........enjoy!
Regards
John

Looks like you captured the entire fleet John, Some guys have all the luck. Some good go-bys to practice your flat plane carving.

Thumbs up Re: Today in an "Collectables" shop

That is one of the best crusty-bloody finest looking bunch of old salty's that I've ever seen. Gosh, there's six hardy souls pictured there but I only count 10 legs! You can only imagine the stories they could tell! Yes, that's a group of characters that I'd love to bump into for some classic and colorful conversation on a Saturday night in one of those old-time musty bars with a sawdust floor. Nice find and thanks for sharing the gang with us!

Thanks everyone for taking time to look at my little find, glad you enjoyed them. Dave, you made me laugh....my son saw them lined up for the pics, and said "they should have an officer fore and aft, marching them all off for a night in the Brig! lol
Thanks again
John
