Ken,
Very good work. I wish my first months work looked as good as yours. Heck, I wish some of the things I do now looked this good. As mentioned before you have a real God given talent. Please keep them coming.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

Well done, Ken!
I think you have the basics of the flat plane carving done pretty well. Painting is pretty good, also. And, your original designs are great! Are you sure you've only been carving for a couple months?

Claude

Actually started in February with a how to carve book from Rick Butz; did the small duck and Adirondack Man he has in the book. But really did not get too much into it until finding Gene's Youtube videos sometime in late March. Wish I could devote more time to it – work is always getting in the way of things

Luciano,

The on-line tutorials I mentioned for the first character, wasn't really a tutorial as much as a couple pics and measurements at:

http://richardstamats.com/JackPrice.html

But it is what spiked my interest in carving miniature figures. My best sources to date are Gene Messer's videos on Youtube and Jack Price's book "Carving Small Characters"

Nice work Ken! I like the way that you've already struck out on your own!
