Default Second FP figure

Hi there, relative newbie to both WCI and Flat Plane Whittling, this forum has been most helpful. Here's a pic of my second attempt, my version of Desiree Hajney's rolling caricature pony found here under the patterns link. He has no eyes cuz I'm not confident in that area yet.

Hi BfloBif, nice job on the pony. Keep practicing and those eyes will come out the way you want. I'm a little shaky in the eye area as well. The thing about caricature and flat plane, you don't need perfect eyes, just enough of a hint that there is an eye there. In most cases, just a ridge for an eye lid or eye brow with a pencil dot for the pupil will work.

A very nice style of doing a pony .. eyes are not so important on this figure .. he looks good as he is .. good job

Thanks, guys, for the comments and the support. One of these days I'll grab some scrap and practice working on eyes. Meantime, happy carving-
