While I can't tell for definite, it appears from the one view that you've already graduated beyond the newbie problem of square corners. The corners look well rounded (using flat plane cuts, of course), the proportions are good, and the eyes are well done. Are you sure you just started?

Kurt you did great starting out. If you run into something you need advice on don;t be afraid to ask on this site, these carvers and good people on this site will be more than happy to help. Most won't critic you carvings unless you ask. I learned more in two years than i did in ten on my own.
