Default My First Flat Plane Carving...

This is my first attempt at carving in the European Flat Plane style which I did by following Gene Messer's youtube video "Carving the Christmas Bear". Once I relaxed and stopped worrying about "messing" it up, I had a lot of fun with this piece. He is carved out of Basswood and measures 5" high,
1 3/4" wide and 2" from front to back. Critiques are more than welcome.
My thanks to Gene for his generosity in providing his videos and great teaching style.
Leslie

Leslie,

Don't care whether it's the first one or which one for that matter. It's a very good one. A good example of the flat plane technique. Well done...
