Default My first attempt at the little folk...

I started these two figures (the first woman and man from the book) before Christmas, but have not had much time to work on them since. Work and family life is really busy the past several weeks.

I have found a little time to finish carving the man, and started on the woman. I plan to give them to my parents (who are European immigrants) as a gift when done.

I hope to work a bit more on her tonight, after I do the laundry, change the beds, take care of the dog, the dishes, feed and play with my son and put him to bed (my wife is working shift work so I am mr mom this weekend!)

Here is where I stand so far...(bad cell phone pic, will take a better one when they are done)

Thanks guys... I am learning with each carving I do. I think these small figures are actually harder in a way than the larger one(s).

Family always comes first... and my wife and I both share responsibilites equally.

I am hoping tomorrow to work on the lady some more!
