Default Hound Dog

Here's another little bottle stopper I've made more than one of, and could probably make a bunch more before I managed to have two for myself. This one is walnut, I've used paulownia too. The family likes their wine, you know?

That is neat looking hound. How did you do flat plane is walnut I cant do it in Basswood.

LOL, did not think of that. As for carving in walnut, I have one knife I put a secondary bevel on just for carving hardwoods. This is the only on in walnut, have done one in paulownia and starting another in bass. Took a while to get the hang of flat plane, folks here are a big help. My first attempts were sort of a blend of FP and whatever I was doing before that.
