Default Here is the latest creation! (2 pics added)

Added 2 pics of carving before antiquing....
---------------------------------------------------

Well, I decided to go out on a limb and do my own creation. I drew the pattern on a block of wood by hand and cut it out with the bandsaw. Then I preceeded to make chips. I will update the post after he is painted, but I think he looks cool just like he is. I am sure you can see gene's influence.

Still having issues with wood splitting out when cutting downgrain, I am more careful now though and at least recognize the tendency of the wood to do that.

Thanks for the inspiration.-kurt

Good carving and painting Kurt.
What type of antiquing are you going to use?
