This is the third gnome I've done, I figured I'd never do even one (just wasn't interested) but I got a request for one and gave it a try. Also my first attempt at antiquing, something else I hadn't thought about until I saw it here at one of the forums. I won't post the first two, they survived the burn barrel but just barely . You can see them at my blog if you insist. Anyway, this one I actually like. He's on the road now, a group of friends and fam around the US and Canada are taking pics and sending him on to the next, that way he'll have stories to tell and I'll get to see how the finish holds up. He may even come back to me someday... BfloBif blog at www.BfloBif.com |

Brian, That is a fine looking gnome there!!!. I've got one that has been in progress now for over 10 months. My dog chewed it up pretty bad when it was in the early stages of roughing and I've come very close to throwing it away a dozen or so times. For some reason it is still on the bench and I still pick it up a few times a week, make a few cuts, then take it to the trash bin. There I stop and look at it for a few minutes and put it back on the bench. Maybe I shouldn't ever mention this to the shrinks at the VA hosp, huh??? L.P.
