Another flea market and another find. I found several of these figures in a pile of plastic and china pieces. I picked one up and asked the vendor how much. He said, $6.00. As I was reaching for my wallet he said "for all of them." Wait a minute I said (to myself). How many are there I asked. He said three. They are mine now. Happy happy for me, but sad for the one who carved them. I know nothing about them, except that they appear to be a bit old. They are 3 3/4 inces tall and unsigned. Tom H |

You sure do find some cool stuff in your Flea Market adventures! The one on the left looks like he's missing a few parts? Something in his mouth and left hand? Didja look at the bottom of the box to see if those pieces might be down there? And wheres number three? Marcia. |

OK Marcia, you caught me! Here's number 3....And yes there's 2 items missing from the one. A cig. and something else. And on this sailor, his hat brim has a broken piece or 2. But he's still very cool. Tom H |

Great find there Tom. Maybe contact Rick Ferry, he collects a lot of figures and may know something about them. Either way, cool find and I would have scooped them up too! Corey

Those are some neat little dudes. Like you say, happy happy for you and sad for the original carver. I agree with Corey that you should contact Rick Ferry. He may have an idea who the carver was. They look like very good examples of flat plane carving. Too bad they are unsigned. Ed

Those are too cool. I love the sailor. I like the look on the face of the guy playing the accordion. JL

Hi Tom, great finds! I like em all, too bad they aren't marked, whoever carved them had a lot of talent. Dan |
