Default Flat Plane (?) old hippie

I have been hesitant to post this. I've watched Gene's flat plane Santa video and watched it again. (Of course, I've slept since then) I think I am doing it right, then I round the corners off and I have a plain carving again. I seem to have a thick skull on this one. Aaarrgh!

Thanks for the compliment Simon. I just can't seem to control the knife. It keeps sneaking up there and rounding off the flats.

Nice job Wanda!........ Makes me want to sing!

He's an old hippie and he don't know what to do
Should he hang on to the old
Should he grab on to the new....

Hey Curt, Thanks for the kind words. I think I need more chocolate and put the knife down while eating it!

Did you notice the Hippie is a carver too? See the tiny knife in his hand? That was fun!

Hey Eddie, You slipped in on me. Yeah, he is a bit confused. from his earth shoes to his braid, then he has a carving knife too!.
Maybe I should have put him under caricture instead of flat plane.

Now I'm confused.

Wanda... I like his braid! Reminds me of Dharma's Dad on TV!
