Default First Hobo

Here's a little guy I just sat down to carve and ended up with. After working along to Gene's videos so much, he is a definate influence but this is the first hobo I have carved. My cuts are not as flat as I would like, but each one gets a little better. Thanks for looking

Eric

Hi Eric! I really like this fella! I'm new to flat plane carving myself and have been following Gene's videos. I've found it a challenge to get out of the habit of rounding everything off as well...LOL!...yet you've done a good job with the flat planes and angles.

I like the shape you've given his face and the expression in the eyes and mouth are priceless. His whole body language and the pouch says "hobo". You've done a nice job on the painting!
Thanks for sharing.
Leslie
