Here's a little guy I just sat down to carve and ended up with. After working along to Gene's videos so much, he is a definate influence but this is the first hobo I have carved. My cuts are not as flat as I would like, but each one gets a little better. Thanks for looking Eric |

| Hi Eric! I really like this fella! I'm new to flat plane carving myself and have been following Gene's videos. I've found it a challenge to get out of the habit of rounding everything off as well...LOL!...yet you've done a good job with the flat planes and angles.I like the shape you've given his face and the expression in the eyes and mouth are priceless. His whole body language and the pouch says "hobo". You've done a nice job on the painting! Thanks for sharing. Leslie |
