Default The eyes have it!

Interesting twist to this carving, I completely screwed up the eyes. So I took the back side of the block and carved eye after eye after eye. Then I cut away most of his face and added in some new eyes!!!



And some more eyes!!!

Very unique. A good way to get it some good practice on the eyes.

farleyre, thanks for your posting on this very important aspect of carving in that the only way one becomes comforatable with carving eyes, is to carve eyes over and over again. Practice, Practice, Practice is still the key foor "the more one carves the better one carves." Your "eyes" really can see! Thanks, Don

I'll tell you what, the practice worked. The finished piece looks great, the eyes turned out to be a nice focal point.
